Tender proposal for a low cost housing complex
In this project the integration of low cost apartments with high quality living is achieved by creating efficient floorplans and construction principles while providing spacious exterior private spaces.
The apartments are lifted from the ground floor and put on top of a parking garage that takes the cars out of sight from the public realm. Leaving more space for nature, and usable shared space to be used for social interaction for the old and young by means of joint spots, gardening, playing and leisure.
The (solar)roof supplies energy for all the apartments as well as collects water to be reused for flushing the toilets. Ground source heat pumps provide in necessary heating and cooling.
